First in our Raven’s Share Rum Series, this full-bodied nectar was aged for one year in a 59 gallon French Oak barrel that held California Pinot Noir red wine.
After the wine was emptied, the brewers at Black Flannel Brewing filled it with Raven’s Share #1 Imperial Stout for four months.
The day they emptied the Stout, we filled it with a fresh run of our Crow’s Nest Rum distilled from Turbinado sugar.
All of our Rums are twice-distilled to retain the nose and flavor from the molasses content left in the base Turbinado sugars they are distilled from.
