802 BWS

802 bws was originally Merola’s Market for many years. Diane Hazen purchased Merola’s Market in 1998 on the corner of Plattsburg Ave and North Ave, where it had been for many years. In 2010, Diane passed away and her son Jason took over the business.

By 2012 Jason noticed the business was growing, so he wanted to expand it. In October 2014, he relocated the store to less than a mile down the street into the Ethan Allen Shopping Center at 1127 North Ave. and renamed the store 802 bws.

We’re now spread over 10,000 square feet compared to 3,500 square feet at the old location to meet your beer, wine, and liquor needs. We have added a second cooler, new products, and new racking for a cleaner look. We’re also planning to add a third cooler in the next

few years.

802 bws is now a family-owned business. Along with Jason, his wife and children also work here. Employees from the old store continue to work here.
