Marzen
Amber Lager
brewed fresh year round
OG: 13.9° Plato FG: 4.3° Plato IBU: 20
SRM: 11 ABV: 5.8% pH: 4.53
A malty, amber, moderate-strength German lager with rich toasted notes and a smooth, dry finish that makes this beer both rich and crushable. Märzen is sometimes referred to as “Oktoberfest” in America, but the official beer style of Oktoberfest in Munich is now festbier.
Appeals to a wide range of drinkers because of its toasty, bready malt character. Any lager drinker will love this, and it’s a great middle ground for anyone interested in something with more malt character that doesn’t want a stout in the hotter months. Pairs perfectly with many food items on a restaurant menu, especially in the appetizer and snack categories.
This beer remains dangerously drinkable at 5.8%. The smooth body mixed with a complex lingering malt character make this a crushable yet flavorful lager. Starts malty and sweet, but finishes semi dry.
We love this beer style so much, we chose to brew it year round so it’s always fresh.
