Black Flannel implemented a 4% kitchen appreciation fee added to all checks in the early fall of 2021. Most guests are glad to pay this fee as part of our effort to pay a higher than livable wage to our kitchen staff. On occasion, there are guests who don’t agree with or understand why we do this. We are always more than happy to engage in respectful dialog any time someone has questions. We welcome to opportunity to present our reasoning.
Chase’s Mole Sauce
Mole sauces can be complex or simple. We find this one is somewhere in the middle. Dark and full of flavor. It’s worth the work.
Emberred Beets
Beets are nutritious. The color is beautiful and they are so versatile and incorporate well into recipes. The earthiness and sweetness brighten and make a dish pop.
Roasted Delicata Squash
Delicata Squash is the smaller cousin in the squash family. It’s sweet & creamy and roasts up much faster than its bigger relatives.
Smash Burger
A Smash Burger is cooked throughout yet remains juicy due to cooking technique and a maillard reaction.
